ENRICHMENT PROGRAMMING
We know that life is more than simply where you live. It’s about how you live, and that’s where FIL’s Enrichment Program comes in.
Whether in large group settings or individualized; whether at our Enrichment Center or out in the community, FIL’s professional staff will work with you to build upon the skills you already have to gain ever increasing levels of independence.
How do we do that? By focusing on three key areas: Emotional Intelligence, Social Skills and Life/Coping Skills. Using a variety of fun, engaging and challenging activities, our Enrichment team will assist you in gaining the skills that we all need to reach true independence. Skills like dealing with peers, navigating relationships, how to speaking up for yourself and learning to overcome the challenges we all face are only a few of the building blocks that you’ll be enriching.
But is it fun? Absolutely! While you’ll be learning new skills, you won’t be sitting in a boring classroom. In fact, our classroom is all of South Florida. We take the lessons we talk about every single day and apply those out in the real world. Science museums. Nature preserves. Art museums. Local concerts. Zoos. The Renaissance Festival. Now does that sound boring? We didn’t think so.
