The new Resident Advocate (RA) position will play a crucial role in our program and we are delighted to have Josephine Barnett take on this critical job.
This position involves creating detailed resident profiles that provide an overall snapshot of each resident’s IEP goals and progress across different departments.
In this role, Ms. Josie will connect with families on a quarterly or yearly basis to share comprehensive reports on each resident’s progress.
These reports will cover activity participation, health & wellness updates, vocational achievements and more.
Additionally, Ms. Josie will ensure that all resident files are updated with any vital information such as legal documents or other critical records. This ensures we have the necessary processes in place to support our residents effectively.
In the coming weeks, Ms. Josie will be reaching out to primary family members to introduce herself, build connections and gather information for family profiles.
This will help enhance the resident profiles and ensure a more personalized approach to supporting each resident’s needs.
Let’s give a warm welcome to Josie as she steps into her new role as Resident Advocate!
If you would like to send her an email, it is jbarnett@filinc.org.
