FIL has a growing community of very generous supporters whose benevolence directly impacts the lives of our residents. What do we mean by directly? Well, here’s a couple of examples:
- This summer, an anonymous donor generously contributed $90,000 in order for FIL to replace one of our aging shuttles. We are currently working to procure this new vehicle sometime in September.
- In August, the James I Coddington, Jr. Charitable Fund, Community Foundation of Broward, made a very generous (and unsolicited) donation of $40,000 to FIL. (Does the Coddington Fund sound familiar? They should because in 2021 they donated $40,000 towards the creation of our fitness center!)
Finally, you may have read about our amazing new literacy program. Well, a donor’s tremendous generosity has allowed us to purchase tablets to continue building upon this incredible initiative.
The great things is we’re already seeing the benefits to our residents.
The critical part of these donations, and so many more like them, is that they are directly affecting FIL’s residents! That is why we are so very thankful for the generosity of our community.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff and most importantly, residents of FIL, THANK YOU!
