FIL is constantly looking for new ways to innovate and enhance the rich programming we offer our residents.
We want to challenge expectations and assist our residents in reaching new heights. That is why we are so excited to unveil our newest tool – the Promethean!
What’s a Promethean you ask?
Think of it as an interactive computer screen where our residents can learn new skills, facts and insights by using it.
We all sat in a classroom where someone lectured us endlessly. BORING!
With the Promethean our residents are part of the lesson: writing on the board, learning to manipulate the technology and creating exciting new activities we haven’t even thought of.
In fact, multiple studies have “repeatedly demonstrated that people learn better when they are fully engaged, and that multi-sensory, hands-on learning is the best way to engage them!”
As we’re just beginning to discover all of the many wiz-bang tools this incredible technology has to offer.
