FIL knows that you cannot be your best if you’re not feeling at the top of your game.

Mind and body wellness is a cornerstone of our approach at FIL. By bringing together our med room, fitness program and optional meal plan, as well as partnering with a variety of community health care providers, FIL will ensure that your health remains a top priority.
 
FIL’s professionally staffed med room can assist you with most of your medical needs including medication management, coordinating medical appointments and wellness checks. From the area and have doctors you prefer? Great! In most circumstances we can maintain those relationships and get you to and from your appointments. New to the area? If you’d like our team can provide you with medical resources that you can then choose from. Either way, we’ll be here with you every step of the way.
 

When we say mind and body wellness, we mean it. Thanks to the generosity of donors, the James I Coddington Fitness Center opened in 2021. FIL’s Fitness Center has everything you could want. Free weights. Weight machines. Treadmills. Stationary Bikes. Overseen by FIL’s certified trainers, as well as community partners, we will work to individualize a program meant just for you. Fitness isn’t about just the body, though. It has to be about the mind as well so we practice meditation and yoga to assist with being present. All of this is in addition to mindfulness walks, bike rides, nature walks, and the occasional 5k walk/run. In short, FIL is an active program – with those activities tailored to your fitness level. 

After all that, is anyone hungry? Healthy Café is FIL’s optional meal plan. Created by our amazing chef and their team right at FIL, Healthy Café provides freshly made meals 7 days a week for those who want to participate. Oh don’t worry. While the food may be healthy (grilled or baked – never fried; no added sodium and low sugar), it doesn’t mean it’s boring. Jamaican beef patties with fruit cocktail. Mandarin Asian salad with grilled Shrimp. Fresh baked croissants with hardboiled eggs and fresh fruit. Lasagna with garlic toast. Those are just some of the delicious meals we’ve had recently. Have a special food diet? Not a problem as our expert staff are able to make most accommodations such as gluten free, no dairy and Kosher.
