Ticket to Work (TTW) is a Social Security Administration (SSA) program available to Floridians who qualify for social security disability benefits and want to work.
SSA issues tickets that may be used at any employment network (EN) participant, such as Vocational Rehabilitation. FIL will refer residents to Vocational Rehabilitation to assign their Ticket to Work.
Vocational Rehabilitation service is a critical component in getting our residents into paid employment.
On-the-job trainings, short-term skilled training and assistive technology are just a few examples of what is needed for FIL residents to succeed, and what Vocational Rehabilitation can provide.
What can FIL do to assist with these?
- FIL will facilitate information-gathering as it relates to Social Security and Supplemental Security Income beneficiaries with more choices and expanded opportunities to help them go to work.
- FIL residents with a Ticket-to-Work from Social Security will be referred to Florida Vocational Rehabilitation for job training and other support services.
If you have additional questions regarding your loved-one’s employment or volunteer opportunities at FIL, please contact the FIL team for more information.
