Foundation for Independent Living Staff - Betty Cadet

Tis the season to give, to love and to come together in ways that truly matter! This holiday season is a powerful reminder that togetherness is built through shared commitment, care and belief in something greater than ourselves.

At the Foundation for Independent Living, Christmas reflects the collective strength of families, supporters, and community partners who come together to ensure our residents are surrounded by stability. It is through this shared effort that the spirit of the season becomes something lasting and meaningful.

This Christmas, we are honored to share a heartfelt video featuring our residents reflecting on the year speaking openly about the love they feel from staff, the support of their families and the moments that made them feel seen, valued and connected.

Their words remind us that togetherness is not just celebrated during the holiday. It is lived every day. For our residents and their families, these reflections represent stability, care and a deep sense of belonging.

For our supporters and donors, they offer a glimpse into the impact of a community that chooses to invest in people. Each program, shared moment and milestone captured in their voices is made possible through a collective commitment to independence.

As we reflect on the year behind us and look ahead, we extend our deepest gratitude to the families, donors and community partners who continue to walk alongside us. Your generosity sustains the work that allows moments like these to exist … not just during the holidays, but throughout the year.

This season we are reminded that togetherness is built through continued support, creating an impact that lasts far beyond Christmas.

From all of us at the Foundation for Independent Living, we wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy Kwanzaa! May this season bring peace, warmth and continued togetherness for all!
