My daughter arrived at FIL approximately 2 1/2 years ago fearful and anxious about many things. After a significant illness that required a prolonged hospital stay, the staff and the members of the FIL community welcomed her, tolerated her anxieties, provided her with support and structure while slowly working to restore her confidence. I can not say how grateful we are as a family to have found such a loving environment. The ability to live independently with such close proximity to her peers and staff is definitely the key to FIL’s success, but it is the kindness and dedication of the staff that makes FIL feel like a family.

Every time we talk to our daughter she is happy, engaged and ready to get off the phone and back to her next activity! FIL is one of the greatest blessings in our lives.

“Jason has developed the skills needed for independent living in a setting where he has caring support from a dedicated group of professionals.”

“Sherri has been residing at the Foundation for several years now. Employment opportunities, traveling and social programs with her many friends offer her a great quality of life.”

“The program and staff have helped our daughter to achieve a level of maturity that we never could have anticipated.”

“My son, Bill, has been in the Foundation for many years. The Foundation gave him a chance to be able to have an independent life. It has been a blessing for my family.”
